During this working-lunch session we’ll discuss ways to promote effective classroom discussion in the age of cell phones, laptops, polarized politics and shifting norms for communication. A few short, provocative cases will frame our discussion of ways to engage students in respectful, civil discourse in an environment that fosters deep learning and critical thinking.
