How we teach the first days of class affects the entire course. Share your hints for successful beginnings, meet faculty from other departments and schools, and receive useful University resource information.

10:45-11:45 Developing and Presenting Effective Lecture Courses.
Dennis Proffitt, Professor (Psychology)
The presenter will consider several aspects of preparing and presenting effective lectures.

This workshop offers useful strategies for teaching the variety of students we meet, encourages sharing of successful techniques, and gives participants a chance to see something of what students experience their first year at U.Va.
