What's Appropriate? Sexual Orientation and Civility in the Classroom

How do you handle homophobic statements or actions in class? Do your LGBT students feel comfortable expressing their views? Panelists will discuss their approaches to making the classroom a safe environment for discussion and for ensuring that all students can comfortably voice their opinions. Workshop participants will also brainstorm solutions to actual classroom situations.
