Time Management

Professor Randy Pausch, Carnegie Mellon University

This talk will discuss many practical time-management techniques for improving one's productivity and effectiveness, and is highly-recommended to all students and faculty.

Randy Pausch received a BS in Computer Science at Brown University and a PhD in Computer Science at Carnegie-Mellon University in 1988. He then joined the University of Virginia, where he founded and directed the User Interface Group. His accomplishments include a National Science Foundation Presidential Young Investigator Award, a Lilly Foundation Teaching Fellowship, and an early promotion/tenure. He has spent a sabbatical with the Walt Disney Imagineering Virtual Reality Studio, and in 1997 he joined the Carnegie Mellon University Human-Computer Interaction Institute as Associate Professor of Computer Science. He is the author or co-author of 45 publications in the areas of virtual reality and user interfaces.
