Cedar
Riener is a Ph.D. candidate in the psychology department. His research
centers on visual perception and how the body informs our perception of
distance. In his department, Cedar has served as a grader, led both discussion
sections and labs, and was awarded a Distinguished Teaching Fellowship
to teach "The Science of Illusions": a course integrating all
of psychology using "illusions" as a guiding metaphor. If he
had free time, he would enjoy playing basketball, soccer, and running,
but in the meantime he enjoys chasing his two-year-old twin boys.
