Alena
Nye-Knutson is a Ph.D. candidate in the department of Religious Studies.
Her dissertation examines early Jewish and Christian scriptural interpretations
on the subjects of sacred food and the body. Alena has led discussion
sections for various courses in the Religious Studies department and taught
a course on Christianity and Film. This year, in addition to working at
the TRC, she will be co-leading a Pedagogy seminar for first-year GTAs
in Religious Studies. When not teaching or working on her dissertation,
Alena enjoys spending time with her husband, feeding her addiction to
pop-culture and snuggling with her three cats.
