Really Achieving Your Childhood Dreams
Randy Pausch,
Professor of Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, and Design at Carnegie Mellon

Randy’s lecture, “Really Achieving Your Childhood Dreams,” is so inspirational to teachers, so thoughtful about education and life, that we have, with permission, linked to it from the Carnegie Mellon University website.  In recounting how he realized his dreams and how we can help students achieve theirs, Randy makes it clear that he is not talking about cancer, even though his pancreatic cancer is terminal. On the U.Va. Computer Science faculty from 1988-97, Randy was a lively member of the inaugural group of Lilly (University) Teaching Fellows at the Teaching Resource Center (1992-93).  His website is at http://www.cs.cmu.edu/~pausch/.

Information about the talk available at http://www.etc.cmu.edu/global_news/?q=node/36.
Web cast available, with permission, at mms://wms.andrew.cmu.edu/001/pausch.wmv.
