U.S. Professor of the Year Award

Qualifications
Outstanding Doctoral and Research Universities Professor for undergraduate teaching and mentoring, chosen by a national panel of judges.  For details about judging criteria and nomination dossier requirements for this highly competitive and prestigious award, see

The University will pay the entry fee for all nominees selected by the Teaching Awards Committee to be put forward for this national award.

General Information
$5,000 award (U.Va. may submit up to three nominations.) The Teaching Awards Committee will choose these nominees from among those nominations explicitly submitted to the committee for this award and, when appropriate, from among those faculty nominated for any teaching award.

Nomination Process & Requirements
Nomination dossiers should follow the Award guidelines linked to the award description at: http://www.usprofessorsoftheyear.org.

Please deliver 13 copies of the complete nomination dossier by 5pm. February 4, 2013 to the Office of the Provost (Booker House), ATTN: Deirdre Davie (982-2016 or ddavie@virginia.edu).
